About this Violation
As a human rights defender, you may receive threats or be intimidated for reporting business-related human rights abuse.
If you are a worker, the Labour Act criminalises intimidating tactics by employers. If your employer is intimidating you in retaliation for your work on business-related human rights abuses, you should raise the issue with your trade union.
In factories where there are no formalised unions, workers can bring complaints before the Participation Committee, which consists of representatives from employers and workers. In Export Processing Zones, you can approach the Worker Welfare Committees.
